The town’s new Senior Center and Library will include the invelope liner on the 9,000 square foot brick portion of the facility.

Project Status
Panels are currently being installed and the total project is on schedule for completion by Spring ‘09.

Success:
Using invelope helped the building owner meet the new Massachusetts energy code. In this application, the invelope 3inch panel, which has an R-value of 21 is being installed.

Decision Factors:
Ease of application and taking care of penetrations were important factors in the selection of the building envelope.

The recycled content of invelope and its Cradle To Cradle Silver certification were also important to the architect.

Site Experience:
Despite facing ice storms and power loss during the winter construction period and the need to change to a different saw blade to penetrate the 3” panel, the installers found it easy to install. invelope now provides a special 9" ferrous metal cutting blade included as part of the standard package based on feedback from the installers.
